This is a blog. I know that because the computer told me so when I was setting it up. It's probably not a very good blog yet, primarily because it was created by some generic program invented by google. Also, it only took about 2 minutes before my computer screen congratulated me for achieving something I didn't even know I'd done. This is generally a bad sign.
If you bothered to read the title then you'd know that my blog is going to be partially about East Africa - because currently I live and work in Nairobi - and partly about some other as yet unspecified things. The latter part will largely be comprised by chapters from the book I'm currently trying to write. The intention of this being that you'll tell me if you think it's crap/a bad idea, and I should start again/consider doing something useful with my life.
I'm going to stop writing this stupid little introduction now, and let you get on with reading something else I have written. I hope you manage to get to the end.
